TouchClamp click mikroBUS™
The MikroElektronika TouchClamp click Board is an accessory board that provides a simple method to add capacitive touch to a development platform. The TouchClamp can be used to sense touch with any conductive object, great for adding touch input to unexpected everyday objects.
Like all click Boards the TouchPad click fits the popular mikroBUS™ socket, creating a plug-in solution to add functionality, removing the need for hardware configuration.
The TouchClamp click provides seven plated terminals to connect with conductive objects. The TouchClamp click can then detect touches on the connected objects and provide a signal to the target board MCU to drive whatever the desired functionality may be. An additional touchpad is provided on the board itself.
The board utilises the capabilities of the NXP MPR121 Capacitive Touch Controller IC. The featured device communicates with the host board over I2C.
