The Staubli harsh environment wire has a 1mm² cross-sectional area, red sheath and 25m long reel. The conductor of wire is made of copper with highly flexible silicone insulation and the silicone ash produced after burning insulates the wires in case a fire strikes. This material property helps wire to withstand brief contact with the soldering iron. It has 259 copper strands.
