Two LED indicators tell you the sensor's output status and signal whether the output is NPN or PNP. Thanks to the unit's compact dimensions of 47 (H) x 114 (W) x 62mm (D), you have the information you need in the palm of your hand. It's powered by two 9V batteries to see you through testing times without the need for a mains connection.
This tester is compatible with inductive, magnetic field, capacitive and photoelectric sensors, so it's a versatile piece of kit.
When an NPN sensor detects an object, it sinks the current load to the ground or negative side of the circuit, while a PNP sensor switches the load to the positive side.
