This flexible current probe is designed to extend AC current measurement capabilities for technicians and engineers working with high-current systems. It connects directly to compatible clamp meters, allowing measurements up to 2500 A AC while keeping the meter display separate from the sensing point. The 1.8m cable and large, thin loop form allow access to crowded wiring and awkward conductors, making it suitable for industrial and field environments where conductor routing and meter visibility are challenges.
The probe includes a 1.8m cable to allow separation between the loop and the meter display.
It is specified to measure inrush when used with a compatible meter, with accuracy statements incorporating both probe and meter contributions.
Position sensitivity varies with offset
at 35.6mm from optimum accuracy changes by ±0.5%, at 50.8mm by ±1.0%, and at 63.5mm by ±2.0%.
The device conforms to IEC 61010-2-032 with CAT III 1000V and CAT IV 600V safety classifications.
With the cable kept more than 10 cm from the probe coupling, external magnetic field rejection is rated at 40 dB.
