Need locking nuts that withstand severe vibration? then consider Aerotight® self-locking nuts, with uniquely shaped threads, stay secure as long as two complete threads of the screw protrude beyond the nut. Made from type 316/A4 stainless steel, they resist pitting and crevice corrosion, especially in marine environments. Their all-metal construction ensures durability and reusability. Part of the RS PRO range, these nuts are rigorously tested for quality and reliability.
Self-locking all metal nuts, designed to stay in position despite conditions of severe vibration. This is achieved by cantilevered threaded arms which are deflected downwards and inwards.
Two complete threads of the engaged screw must protrude beyond the nut.
Aerotight® nuts should not be used on damaged or interrupted threads.
