This ethernet coupler provides passive galvanic separation for RJ45 links in industrial and commercial networks. It serves as an inline network isolator to help prevent common-mode currents and reduce the risk of electrical disturbances between connected devices while maintaining Gigabit Ethernet connectivity for automation, electronics, electrical and mechanical systems.
It uses standard RJ45 interfaces on both ends to mate directly with Cat5e/Cat6 terminated cables for straightforward inline insertion.
The unit provides two network ports configured to join two RJ45 links while presenting an isolating barrier between them.
It offers physical isolation at the link layer to support ethernet security practices by minimising electrical coupling between segments.
